I have always been intrigued by jewelry. At a very young age, I can remember being captivated by the color and texture of the various designs in my mother’s jewelry box.
It was no surprise to my family and friends when I started working for Tiffany & Co. in New York City. I worked in their Custom Design department for over three years. However, when I relocated to Southern California, I accepted a position that landed me on the retail side of things. Unhappy, I soon resigned and found myself unemployed and frustrated. One day, I was bellyaching to a friend and former colleague about how I was unable to find a fulfilling position. Stopping me in mid-sentence, she suggested that I develop some jewelry designs and start my own company. She stated, if I missed my old position in New York, “you should hire yourself to do the job you did for Tiffany”. This thought, with the support of my fiancé, started the wheels turning.
In the spring of 2004, I started ShaLoree, a company named after and dedicated to my mother. She helped me realize my design ability which led me to finding my creative niche and true bliss.
At ShaLoree, we are committed to using the best metals along with quality semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and other glass beads. Our handcrafted fashion jewelry offers very clean lines that are bold, chic and very feminine. Our keen use of color, texture and distinctive patterns are elegantly designed to complement your personal style and allow you to be noticed.
